Bioregulators
Khavinson Peptide Bioregulators — United States
Bioregulators are di-, tri- and tetrapeptides: the shortest compounds in the catalog, and the easiest to identify, because a four-residue sequence leaves a laboratory little room for ambiguity. The family comes from Vladimir Khavinson's group at the St Petersburg Institute of Bioregulation and Gerontology, where each was derived from a peptide fraction of one organ or tissue and named for it — Epitalon (AEDG) for the pineal gland, Cartalax (AEDL) for cartilage, Vesugen (KED) for vascular tissue, Pinealon (EDR) for cortex, Thymogen (EW) for thymus.
Telling them apart is a matter of sequence, and the sequence is on every page with the CAS number and formula. N-Acetyl Epitalon is a separate compound, not a brand of epitalon. Cerebrolysin and thymulin are longer and sit here because they are studied in the same tradition.
The English-language literature on this family is thinner than the Russian-language original, and the product pages do not pretend otherwise. What is not thin is the certificate: purity and measured content for every lot, against the batch code on the vial. Supplied strictly for laboratory research, shipped domestically within the United States.

What to check before buying bioregulators compounds
Purity is half the number. A purity figure tells you what fraction of the powder in the vial is the compound on the label — it tells you nothing about how much powder is in the vial. A lot can assay at 99.8% purity and still be short against its labelled content.
Both numbers are published for every batch here: purity from HPLC, and measured mass against expected content. Match the batch code printed on the vial to the certificate before you rely on either.
